Once again, I have to apologize again for the lack of updates. The loss of my job and the death of two family members has taken its toll on my time. I do hope that some people are still finding use for the RegExp filters.

Since I now have a bit of extra time on my hands, you may well see me popping into the MailWasher forums. I hope all of the "old timers" are still around and well. Cheers!

Sorry, nothing fancy here! ;-) This is just a quick index to the MailWasher filters, and in the future, possibly some utilities.

If you are looking for the latest filters, click on the link below. You may need to right-click and choose "Save Target As.." in your browser to save the file.

For those of you interested in a full blacklist, rather than the one only containing the wildcard matches, such as in the in the file above, here is my current blacklist. Keep in mind that it contains a lot of email addresses that will probably never be used again, so be sure your expiration is set!

If you would like to increase the effectiveness of your filters, you might want to consider pairing up MailWasher with another product, such as FireTrust Benign, or POPfile. Benign will decode Base64 attachments, get rid of extraneous comments, and generally clean up the HTML so that the filters can do their job. I'll be posting notes on how to set up and "daisy chain" MailWasher and Benign, and perhaps some other products, in the near future.

On the "to do" list is a small utility program that will tell the last access date of an address in your blacklist or friends list. (Of course, if someone else would like to go to the trouble of writing it, I'd be happy to post it! ;-) )
